The Bulldogs were due for a breakout win and they got just that in what could prove to be the turning point on the 2015 season. Brookfield used 4 pitchers and some timely hitting to beat Troy Kenkel and the Lannon Stonemen in extra innings. Lannon took the first lead of the game with 2 runs in the 2nd inning, but the Bulldogs would respond with 2 runs in the 3rd inning. Lannon would again tally 2 runs in the 5th inning before Brookfield scored 2 in the 7th to tie the game at 4-4. The two teams would go scoreless for the next 3 frames before the Bulldogs offense erupted in the top of the 11th inning. With 1 out, Elijah Goodman hit his 2nd double of the day and Jason Booth was sent in to pinch run. Erik Nelson then walked, followed by a Josh Lemke single to load the bases. Ryan Hinz came to the plate and promptly singled to plate 2 runs and give Brookfield a 6-4 lead. With 2 outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Scott Booth hit a towering drive to right center that hit the top of the fence and came back into play for a 2-run double that pushed the lead to 8-4. Lannon would score a single run in the 11th to make the final 8-5.

The Bulldogs were led at the plate by Bill Gorman, who was 3-for-6 with a double and 2 RBI. Goodman was 2-for-5 with 2 doubles. Josh Lemke, who was told before the game that if he reached base two times, the team would win, did just that going 2-for-3 while scoring 2 runs. Erik Nelson was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Longtime Menomonee Falls catcher Tyler Fitzsimmons was signed to the team over the weekend and played a great game behind the dish and finished 1-for-4 with a walk. Hinz and Scott Booth each finished with big run-scoring hits while Kris Franzen finished with a hit.

Goodman started and went 4 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 3. Greg Basthemer pitched 2 innings and gave up 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 1. Griffin Lynch picked up the victory, pitching 4 strong scoreless innings, giving up just 1 hit and striking out 4. Ryan Hinz closed the game out on the hill and gave up 1 run on 2 hits. Up next for the Bulldogs are two home games next weekend. They'll face Hartland Saturday at 1 pm and North Lake Sunday at 1 pm.
