Batted .431 as a senior at Brookfield Central High School, driving in 36 runs ... earned Second-Team Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association All-State honors while leading team to a 29-6 record and the WIAA summer baseball state championship ... had 47 hits, including 12 doubles and three home runs, and scored 24 runs ... also a key contributor on the mound, going 5-2 with two saves, a 1.10 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 51.0 innings of work ... was a First-Team WBCA All-State and 2013 NOW All-Suburban Baseball First Team honoree as a junior, a season in which he was named the Greater Metro Conference Player of the Year and first-team all-conference ... batted .455 in 29 games for the Lancers, with 14 runs scored and 29 RBIs ... had 12 doubles and four homers among his team-leading 35 hits, while compiling a .494 OBP and .770 slugging percentage ... also an honorable mention all-state basketball player and an all-conference football player.
